New food drive taking place in southern Indiana
08:38 PM EST on Tuesday, December 2, 2008
(WHAS11) - Hundreds of families across Kentuckiana depend on food drives.
With so many relying on these collections, a southern Indiana man has devised a drive to make it easier for donations to be made.
The drive is called “can hunger - meat needs.”
Jacob Boger has placed collection boxes in Sellersburg businesses and has a weekend collection scheduled at the Clarksville Walmart.
Boger has been collecting food this way for the past four years.
The items collected go to Oak Park Ministries’ food bank in Jeffersonville.
