Two Shelby County firefighters returned to the scene of a fire where they were injured this past weekend.
Fire ripped through the home on Frankfort Road in Shelbyville on Saturday and Captain James Riddle fell through the first floor, dislocating his shoulder, while Rookie Jarrett Barnes suffers memory loss after falling debris caused a concussion.
Jarrett Barnes say, “Something was coming down and then the next thing I remember was getting my wits to me again, laying on the ground.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but firefighters believe it may have been intentionally set.
