Steroid arrest
09:49 AM EST on Saturday, February 2, 2008
One of the top ten “Over 40” bodybuilders in the country was arrested by Jefferson County Deputies on a charge of Trafficking Steroids. Forty-six-year-old Marc Sangiuliano was charged yesterday with the felony.
Authorities say the case is still under investigation, so they can’t comment on the specifics. An arrest report says that an amount of steroids that constitutes trafficking was seized from his St. Matthews home in mid-December.
We asked Sangiuliano about the crime. He said the steroids were for his personal use. In a statement he gave to WHAS11 News, Sangiuliano said, “The whole thing revolves around me and my wife trying to get pregnant. It has nothing to do with athletics or steroids.”
When asked why they didn’t obtain medicine from a doctor, Sangiuliano said he couldn’t afford to.
Sangiuliano is a stylist who works for a salon on Hurstborne Parkway.
