Changes are on the way to Louisville's Speed Art Museum, specifically when it comes to retail.
Interim president Stephen Reily says since reopening 18 months ago, the museum on Third Street has found people want items more tailored to its exhibits.
As they make that shift, Reily says there will be some lay-layoffs.
He tells us they're closing the gift shop and will no longer have a retail team which includes two part-time and two full-time employees.
Reily says despite the layoffs, the Speed staff is bigger than it was at the beginning of the year and membership continues to grow.
