LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A major development appears to be coming to the property once thought to be a Walmart in West Louisville.
WHAS11 News has confirmed from Passport, the non-profit health care provider, that they will hold a news conference this week at 18th and Broadway.
The vacant lot sits across from the Brown Forman headquarters not far from downtown.
A Passport spokesperson says they'll have a quote, "good announcement” on Wednesday morning at 9:30. The developers of the site, the Bridgewaters, referred us to the people at Passport and say they have confidentiality agreement.
It is the same site where Walmart had announced they would build a store. After two years of legal battles with a preservationist group, the super store decided to cancel their plans--disappointing many in the community.
