Sen. Bernie Sanders to stop in Louisville for 'Protecting Working Families Tour'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) Bernie Sanders will make a stop in Louisville to kick off the Protecting Working Families Tour.

The rally is to oppose Republican tax cuts for millionaires, billionaires and wealthy corporations.

"This legislation goes well beyond taxes. If passed, the Republicans will then rediscover the 'deficit crisis,' and push aggressively for massive cuts in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, education, nutrition, affordable housing and more. That is why I am going on the road this week to talk directly to working people. If we stand together we can defeat this horrific bill," Sen. Bernie Sanders said.

It will be held at the Galt House Hotel at 7 p.m. on December 1. RSVP for the event here.
