LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – The Louisville Metro Police Department released a description of a vehicle they say is involved in a deadly hit and run from Sept. 30.
LMPD said they are looking for a dark colored Mazda CX-7, between the years of 2010-2012. They said it will have damage to the front grill and passenger head lamp and fog lamp assembles and, most likely, additional damage to the hood and windshield.
The vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on the Gene Snyder at Beulah Church Road, Friday, Sept. 30, according to police. LMPD said their investigation revealed a witness chased the vehicle onto the Gene Snyder but eventually lost a visual on the vehicle.
Trey Monroe-Royse, 15, was killed in this crash. Relatives of Monroe-Royse said he was walking to a friend's house on Glengarry Drive just before 9 p.m. Friday to play basketball when a driver hit and killed him, then drove away.
The police ask that if you have any information on this to call 574-LMPD.
