Police: Bystanders help in fiery Nelson Co. crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Nelson County deputies say they are grateful for the help of bystanders after a fiery crash on Samuels Loop in Cox Creek, Kentucky Friday.

Deputies say when they arrived on the scene, a car was flipped over and on fire. The driver and two passengers were all 18-years-old.

The victims were brought to safety by several bystanders before the first responders arrive.

The bystanders pulled the teens out of the car and administered first aid before emergency responders arrived.

Officials believe speed combined with wet roads caused the crash injuring three people.

The crash remains under investigation.
