LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Two people in the right place at the right time stepped in to help an LMPD officer when he was reportedly attacked by a suspect.
According to an arrest report, the officer had pulled over Chase Rowan for speeding near Hurstbourne Parkway when Rowan attempted to run away.
The officer caught up with Rowan, but he allegedly fought back, tackling the officer and even grabbing his electroshock weapon
Police say two people walking by were able to help restrain Rowan while the officer called for back-up.
Rowan faces several charges including resisting arrest, DUI, and assaulting a police officer.
