LMPD officers hurt in crash during chase

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Two metro police officers are a recovering with minor injuries after getting into an accident while chasing after a suspected carjacker.

It all ended by Norton Hospital at Chestnut and Gray streets. The carjacking happened in the Bardstown Road area.

The victim of the carjacking had been robbed at gunpoint and used the "Find My iPhone" feature to help police locate the phone that was still inside the car. 

Police saw the suspects near the hospitals downtown and started to chase them when the officers' car and the suspects car hit each other.

The driver of the stolen car, 18-year-old Juileon Brady, was caught and arrested when he tried to run away.

The other suspect got away.

Brady is being held on a $50,000 bond and his next court date is Jan. 16.
