LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – An EMT who devoted his life in helping others has died.
Captain Michael Kreitman served the top post for the last five years with Louisville Metro EMS and spent 30 years as an EMT. He passed away over the weekend.
Kreitman suffered from bile duct cancer in the liver. It is a cancer so rare that only 3,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed annually.
He told WHAS11 News in November that he was the luckiest guy in the world by having a good family, the people he worked with in his life. He said cancer just happened to be part of it.
Kreitman was 52-years-old.
