Louisville Zoo, Kroger partner for winter food drive

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Louisville Zoo is making it easier to have fun with the family while giving back to the community.

The Zoo is partnering with Kroger for its Wild Winter Days Food Drive benefitting Dare to Care Food Bank.

From Nov. 1 through Feb. 28, guests who bring one canned item per person or show their Kroger Plus card, will receive $1 off winter admission.

If patrons do both, they will also receive a voucher for a free carousel ride when it opens during the spring.

To date, the Zoo has collected nearly, 25,000 pounds of food through its winter food drive.
