LMPD: Officer injured in Old Louisville crash

LMPD officer hit by another officer's vehicle

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – An officer has been hospitalized following an accident in Old Louisville Tuesday evening.

Police were in the 900 block of South First Street around 8:30 p.m. when they say they were conducting an investigation and interviewing a suspect.

Police say when the interview was taking place, the suspect fled on foot.

An officer began pursuing the suspect when he was hit by another officer responding to the scene.

The officer was transported to the hospital where officials say he suffered a concussion and is expected to be okay.
