Kentucky to cease driver's license renewal reminders

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- According to the Lexington Herald Leader, Kentucky’s Division of Driver Licensing will no longer mail license renewal reminders. This decision will save the state an estimated $250,000 a year.

The division mails about 900,000 reminder cards a year to the state’s 3.6 million license holders.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said the $250,000 saved will go to building roads and bridges.
