LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11)--A West Louisville tradition, the Juice Bowl, will continue Thanksgiving.
This comes one year after a deadly shooting at the event made national headlines.
Two people died and five others were hurt because of that shooting at the youth football event in Shawnee Park.
Officials say there will be a stronger police presence at the event.
Community leaders are calling for peace and togetherness.
The Juice Bowl kicks off at 11 a.m. with a balloon release.
The mother of Dequante Hobbs Jr., the little boy killed by a stray bullet early 2017, will release the balloons.
