Jefferson Mall will be closed on Thanksgiving

COURIER JOURNAL -- When you've finished your pumpkin pie and watched your fill of football you can get a jump on your holiday shopping. On Thanksgiving day, both Mall St. Matthews and Oxmoor Center on Shelbyville Road will be open from 6 p.m.-midnight.

Jefferson Mall on Outer Loop announced Wednesday they will not be open on the Thanksgiving holiday. Instead, they'll open at 6 a.m. Friday for Black Friday sales.

It's unclear at this time whether The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass will be open or closed Thanksgiving. Horizon Group Properties, the corporate owner of The Outlet Shoppes of the Bluegrass, has yet to make a decision. Green Tree Mall in Clarksville, Ind. hasn't made a decision yet either.
