LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – Jefferson County Public Schools said they canceled nine bus routes Friday morning, Sept. 16.
They said this is the fifth time they have had to do this during this school year.
All of the canceled routes were to alternate schools.
A JCPS spokesperson said the school system has contingency plans in place if they have to cancel routes. The contingency plan includes alerting the parent the first thing in the morning and providing TARC tickets to the students in advance so they can get to school.
