Traffic stop leads to meth bust in Floyd County

SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Three pounds of meth were taken off the street in Sellersburg after a traffic stop Sunday.

Jose Rodriguez-Palma, 38, faces a number of charges including dealing and possession of methamphetamine.

Police say they stopped his car for traffic infractions when their K-9  gave a positive alert for narcotics.

Indiana State Police say three pounds of meth were found in the back of the vehicle.
Police estimate the street value of the drugs to be around $150,000.

Rodriguez-Palma is being held in the Floyd County jail.
