JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (Oct. 6, 2016) – A short-term closure is scheduled to begin tonight in Southern Indiana, affecting how drivers from 10th Street and Stansifer Avenue access I-65 South. The ramp that carries traffic from 10th Street and Stansifer Avenue to I-65 South is scheduled to close for final surfacing and striping. It’s expected to close around 9 p.m. Thursday and reopen by 5 a.m. Sunday.
During the closure, drivers will still have access to I-65 South from both 10th Street and Stansifer Avenue. A signed detour will be in place. Traffic will be directed to Missouri Avenue, take a left on 6th Street (which is opening to traffic) and a right on a new ramp to I-65 South to cross the Kennedy Bridge. Drivers should slow down and pay close attention to the signage.
When the ramp reopens by early Sunday, the final surface will be in place for drivers.
