Man, 29, dies in Washington County, Ind. crash

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A motorcyclist has been killed following an accident in Washington County, Indiana Sunday morning.

Police responded to the area of State Road 60 at West Washington School Road around 10:16 a.m.

According to their initial investigation and witnesses nearby, police said a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner was traveling west on State Road 60 when the driver, 78-year-old Helen Chastain of Salem, when she turned onto West Washington School Road.

Police said as Chastain was turning, she turned into the path of the motorcycle traveling east on State Road 60. That driver, 29-year-old Hank Stevens of Campbellsburg, was ejected from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Chastain was transported to the hospital where she was treated and released.
