Injunction granted in Pleasant Ridge battle

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- The city of Charlestown, Ind. can no longer issue code violation fines against landlords of Pleasant Ridge without also issuing fines to the private developer.

Scott County Judge Jason Mount granted a preliminary injunction on Dec. 4 in favor of the Pleasant Ridge Homeowner's Association.

In his ruling, Judge Mount said by not enforcing fines against homes purchased by Pleasant Ridge Redevelopment LLC, the city unconstitutionally gave the developer preferential treatment.

WHAS11’s Robert Bradfield is following this and he will have reaction from the homeowner's association and the city coming up on 11 at 11. Follow Robert Bradfield on Facebook and Twitter.
