SELLERSBURG, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation’s Falls City Subdistrict is beginning the process of hiring plow truck drivers for snow-ice operations on state highways and interstates in the Sellersburg/Clarksville and Corydon areas.
Successful applicants can choose full-time seasonal employment or on-call status. Full-time seasonal employees will be paid $15 per hour for a 37.5-hour work week. They will be part of INDOT’s wintertime maintenance crew, operating plow trucks during snow events. On-call drivers can earn $20 per hour—working only during snow/ice events. Seasonal employees do not receive state benefits, but both categories of drivers are eligible for overtime pay.
Employment is expected to begin within the month—and continue through March.
Applicants must have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a high school diploma or its equivalent. They must pass a drug test.
