Goodin voted new Indiana House minority leader

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – In Indianapolis, there’s a new Democratic Minority Leader for the State House of Representatives and he’s a familiar face in southern Indiana.

Representative Terry Goodin of Austin beat out a lawmaker from Fort Wayne during a Monday vote.

Goodin replaces former leader Scott Pelath who announced last week he was stepping down from his leadership role and would not seek another term in 2018.

Goodin in the superintendent of the Crothersville Community Schools and was first elected to the Indiana House in 2000.
