1 killed, 1 injured in New Albany multi-vehicle accident

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) – A motorcyclist has been killed following an accident Monday evening.

Floyd County police were called to West Street just before 4 p.m. for an accident involving two motorcycles and a car.

Patrolman Brad Scott told WHAS11 News a driver was pulling onto West Street when he saw two motorcycles speeding toward him, so he stopped.

The motorcycles hit the driver’s car. One motorcyclist died.

That man’s passenger went to the hospital serious injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the other motorcycle was wearing a helmet and was not hurt.
