Herrman to head city's top economic development post

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The city has a new director of economic development.

Mayor Greg Fischer has announced Scott Herrmann will head the position later this month.

Herrmann, an Evansville, Indiana native, has worked in Louisville since 2008.

As the director of economic development, Herrmann will work to attract jobs and focus on a variety of business sectors including food and beverage, logistics and e-commerce and advance manufacturing.
