LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The amazing video of the meteorite that flashed out of the sky and disintegrated in Russia on Thursday has made headlines. The sonic booms busted out glass and debris that injured 1,100 people.
In this week’s Friday Flashback Louisville had a three pound meteorite strike in late January 1977, producing a fireball and sonic booms; Chuck Olmsted’s reported on the damage.
