LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- He's in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and he's received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.  Richard Wayne Penniman is still going strong.

But the world knows him as Little Richard a millionaire in 1956, who wrote such American Classics as “Tutti Frutti" and "Good Golly Miss Molly.”

Little Richard almost lost it all to drugs and alcohol. But in 1978, after turning to God, he sat down with WHAS11's Chuck Olmstead in a Louisville Church, in this Friday Flashback. Click on the video player above.
