Fmr. youth choir leader sentenced in child sex trafficking case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A former Oldham County youth choir leader has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after being convicted of aiding and abetting the sex trafficking of a child.

Howard Chambers, 65, took a plea deal earlier this year and Tuesday, a judge handed down the maximum sentence.

Chambers admitted posting an ad on Craigslist looking to fulfill his fantasies with a child.

That led him to his co-defendant, Christopher Kosicki, who introduced him to a 10-year-old girl.

In addition to the 30 year sentence, Chambers will be required to serve a 10-year period of supervised release and register as a sex offender.

Kosicki was sentenced to 50 years in February.
