Fmr. Simpsonville officer sentenced to 12 years

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Simpsonville police officer will spend the next 12 years in jail after pleading guilty to robbing the evidence room, stealing guns, drugs and cash.

A judge sentenced Terry Putnam Monday.

Investigators say in November 2015, Putnam stole more than $28,000 using some of that money to purchase and build a fence to upgrade his own property.
