Families of kids hit at bus stop speak out

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- We're hearing from the families of the three children hit at a school bus stop last week after a driver swerved to miss the bus last week at 32nd & Dumesnil in the Parkland neighborhood.

Two of the children, Phillip and Joc, are recovering at home tonight, but Vanessa, the little girl who was trapped under the SUV, remains in the hospital.

The driver of the SUV did not have insurance, so both families have set up GoFundMe accounts for medical expenses:

Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV, Christopher Johnson, was cited for no insurance and no registration.
