Coroner identifies teen killed in crash after police pursuit

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The coroner has identified a teen killed in a car crash while fleeing from Metro Police Monday morning.

Coroner Dr. Barbara Weakly-Jones said Demarcus Everett II, 15, died after he was ejected from a vehicle when it crashed at 3rd Street and Southern Parkway around 3:30 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they were pursuing the vehicle Everett and two others were in because it matched the description of the vehicle stolen on 2nd and Oak Streets.

No word on the condition of the two others who were also ejected from the vehicle.
