LMPD wants citizens for 'Training Advisory Board'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Louisville Metro Police are looking for citizens to get involved.

The department says they’re accepting applications for their Training Advisory Board which will consist of 12 members of the community and 4 members of LMPD.

LMPD says the board provides the opportunity to give recommendations for training offered to police recruits and current officers on the force based on the values and concerns of the community.

Applications are being accepted through the end of September.
