LOUISVILLE (WHAS 11) -- Karl Price, a prosecutor with the Jefferson County attorney's office, was suspended without pay following comments he made in a letter to a local business.
Karl Price was previously reprimanded for the letter he sent to the Hwang family concerning a contract dispute with Hwang's Martial Arts Academy.
He was ordered to undergo sensitivity training for comments he said in the letter, using words like "greedy foreigners" and saying the Hwangs practice under "ancient Asian principles."
Karl Price received the letter from Mike O'Connell, the Jefferson County Attorney, on June 4 concerning his suspension. O'Connell writes that he found videos from arraignment court posted by The Courier Journal to be disturbing to him and the office. The county attorney plans on reviewing more of the videos. He suspended Price without pay until the end of the review.
The videos O'Connell is referencing show Price insulting an African American man for not running fast. District Judge David Holton also reprimands Price in court for comments he made to a domestic abuse victim.
