LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – More than 200 students made a west Louisville neighborhood even brighter as they participated in a community cleanup Saturday.
The Black Achievers and Youth Achievers from the Chestnut Street YMCA says recent violence near their location has not deterred them from stepping out in the community.
With 40 volunteers in tow, the groups cleaned and picked up debris from Western Cemetery in the Russell neighborhood to South of 16th and 17th Streets on Broadway.
The groups say they are always looking for volunteers to join in on their efforts.
