Commonwealth Attorney's office reviewing case surrounding LMPD officer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The Commonwealth Attorney’s office is reviewing the case surrounding Louisville Metro Police Officer Brandon Wood.

Last week, sources connected Officer Wood to an investigation involving the Youth Explorer Program which is designed to help teens interested in law enforcement.

LMPD said via their Facebook page that its Public Integrity Unit is looking into an officer’s behavior surrounding the program but no other details have been released.

Officer Wood has been placed on administrative leave.
