LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Arraignment is set tomorrow for the former LMPD officers charged in a sex abuse investigation involving the Metro Police Youth Explorer Program.
This comes after city leaders voted to have former U.S. Attorney Kerry Harvery conduct an independent investigation into the allegation.
Brandon Wood faces seven counts of sexual abuse and former Officer Kenneth Betts faces two counts of sodomy.
Chief Steve Conrad fired Wood Thursday.
One of the accusers came forward in October claiming he had been raped and sexually abused as a member of the Youth Explorer Program.
