LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Zoning officials have given the green light to a new distillery in Shelby County.

There's no word yet as to when Diageo will break ground on the $115 million project, but officials hope it will be soon.

The company plans to begin distilling by late 2016.

The distillery will create around 30 new jobs in Shelbyville.

The distillery will make Bulleit Bourbon, which is currently produced at the Four Roses distillery in Lawrenceburg.
