More and more people are seeking help nowadays due to the economic recession.
One of the places local residents are turning to is the Dare to Care Food Bank.
Congressman John Yarmuth toured the organization's warehouse on Fern Valley Road Monday.
He says while the facility is impressive, it's also a sign of the times.
To help meet the increased demand, federal stimulus dollars were used to purchase an additional 170,000 pounds of food for Dare to Care.
