LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- This holiday season, one national group will be honoring veterans here in Kentucky who gave everything for our country.

Later this month, Wreaths Across America will lay 3,000 wreaths at grave sites at the Kentucky Veterans' Cemetery in Radcliff.

Families who have a loved one buried there are encouraged to take part in the ceremony on Saturday, December 14 at 10 a.m.

"Their motto is 'remember, honor and teach' and it is to remember what they have given, to honor what they given us in the past and to teach the next generation we have veterans out there who continue to lay down their lives for our country," Donna Betson of Wreaths Across America said.

Dozens of other cities will be taking part in Wreaths Across America events.
