LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Tennessee woman is suing the U.S. Army for $30 million because she says officials did not let her know they were investigating a rape case that involved her daughter and a Fort Campbell soldier.
That soldier, Joshua Cline, was convicted on rape and child pornography charges involving the girl who was 6 when the abuse was discovered in 2008.
The suit says Army officials didn’t tell the victim’s mother of any possible danger. The girl was then abused by cline a second time.
The Army has not yet made a comment.
