Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Louisville Metro Police have made an arrest in what has now turned into a homicide investigation.
42-year-old Patricia Wallace was arrested Friday morning and charged with murder.
Police say on Halloween night, Wallace hit a man in the head and body with a pipe at a vacant residence on south Preston Street.
Wallace is accused of then putting a bag over the victim's head and a belt around the victim's neck after the assault.
Police say the victim was transported to University Hospital that night but died from his injuries early Friday morning.
Wallace was taken into custody while she was visiting the victim at the hospital.
WHAS11 News does not know the relationship between the victim and the suspect at this time.
