LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A controversial high rise for the Highlands got the green light.
The Louisville Metro Council voted tonight to approve the rezoning for the Willow Grande project in Cherokee Triangle.
The proposed 17-story building has been surrounded by controversy.
On Thursday night, dozens of residents left unhappy with the final vote.
Some fear approving a high rise for the Triangle-area will open the doors for more multi-story buildings.
