(WHAS11) -- Singer Willie Nelson is commenting to WHAS11 News about the death of his friend, Gatewood Galbraith.
Visitation for Galbraith has also been set in Lexington for next Tuesday, but it is being limited to family and close friends. Funeral arrangements are still pending.
Willie Nelson often came to Louisville and Ky. to campaign for Galbraith, who died in his sleep in Lexington from complications of emphysema and pneumonia at the age of 64.
Nelson appeared with Galbraith in his efforts to legalize marijuana.
We asked the singer's publicist if Willie had a comment about the sudden death and he sent us this email, "Gatewood Galbraith was a good friend, and a tireless advocate for the repeal of the ridiculous ban on hemp & marijuana. His book ‘The Last Free Man Standing’ says it all."
