BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) -- Campus police at Western Kentucky University say a student has jumped from a dorm window at Pearce Ford Tower.
Police said that emergency crews found the 19-year-old male on the ground still breathing.
The Daily News posted a statement from the school that says the student jumped about 1 a.m. Saturday and was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., where he remained in critical condition.
Students at the dorm told the TV station that they heard glass break, then saw a body on the ground.
The school's website says the co-ed dorm has 27 stories and is located on the south end of the campus.
The school said no further details were immediately available. Campus police are investigating.
