Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - WHAS11's Gary Roedemeier received the Educational Excellence in Media award Thursday.
The award was given out at the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Southeast Regional Conference.
He received the award for his involvement with the Excel Award, which is given out to an exceptional teacher in schools across our viewing area, 13 times a year.
The Excel Award was created by WHAS TV in 1989.
