Louisville, KY (News Release) – WHAS11 was recognized with six Emmy awards from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Ohio Valley Chapter, including the prestigious special achievement honor of Station Excellence.

WHAS11 was recognized more than any other local TV station with awards for reporting, photography and sports.

WHAS11 News Investigative reporter Adam Walser was awarded an Emmy in Societal Concerns for his story, “The Florida-to-Kentucky Pill Pipeline”.

Photojournalist Phil Dunaway received the first ever Emmy in the category of video essay for his story, “Al Greener.” Photojournalist, Michael Driver was honored for his work in news.

In addition to those awards, WHAS11 was recognized in the categories of feature reporting and sports analyst/play by play.
