LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- It's Victims' Rights Day in Kentucky and special service was held at the Kentucky Homicide Memorial Monday.

The featured speaker at this year's event was Karolyn Nunnallee. Nunnallee lost her 10-year-old daughter, Patty, in the Carroll County bus crash.

Tuesday marks the 25th anniversary of the tragedy which is the deadliest DUI crash in our nation's history.  Twenty-seven people died and 34 were injured in the crash.

After losing patty, Karolyn became the national president of Mothers against Drunk Driving.

WHAS11's Gene Kang was at the service and has more in the video above.
