Vice president of sales at Churchill Downs loses battle with breast cancer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- After battling breast cancer for years the woman who inspired the annual "Pink Out" during Oaks days at Churchill Downs has passed away.

Patricia Amburgey also known as Tricia died at just 42-years-old on Saturday, Oct. 26. She had been fighting the disease for five years.

Tricia worked at the race track for 22 years as the vice president of sales at Churchill Downs.

Visitation will be at Evergreen Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

 Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Prospect.
