LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Hunger Games: Catching Fire-coming to a theatre near you and Jennifer Lawrence is starring as Katniss Everdeen.

Hunger is not a game to some students at Kammerer Middle School.  Feeding the hungry is tough work, but worth it.

They're pairing the books and the movies with a mission; teaming with dare to care to feed the hungry with a food drive at their school.

They’re hoping to exceed the 6,000 cans they raised last year.  It's food that will stay in Kentuckiana.

They have buttons about fighting hunger, even matching shirts.  Many of the girls even dress up like Katniss.

An autographed poster of Jennifer Lawrence hangs in the library, this after all is where she went to school, and played in the band.

From reading books, to helping others, as Katniss would say every revolution begins with a spark be that spark.

And that’s a saying that is catching fire at Kammerer.
