LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11)-- Recent allegations of theft within UofL have led university officials to order a review of financial management functions.

An independent CPA firm will investigate the alleged financial misappropriations within the university’s Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine.  The investigation was approved by the UofL Board of Trustees.

According to the IRS, Perry “Chad” Vaughn allegedly wrote checks to himself totaling more than two million dollars.  No criminal charges have been filed against Vaughn, though federal prosecutors have filed a civil complaint against him detailing a criminal investigation.
